Why We Use Deionized Water.
Deionized water has had its dissolved mineral content removed. That matters because ordinary hard water leaves those minerals behind as spotting when it dries in the sun, which is exactly what you do not want left across a panel surface.
We clean both the panel cells and the surrounding frames with it, then let the surface dry clear.

Will cleaning my panels increase my energy production?
We will not put a percentage on it, because the honest answer depends on your system, how dirty it actually was, and the time of year. What we can say plainly is that dirt and debris sit between the sun and the panel, and cleaning removes them so the panels receive unobstructed sunlight.
How often should panels be cleaned in the 805?
Twice a year suits most properties here, usually after the spring pollen and again after the dry, dusty end of summer. Homes under heavy tree cover or close to open hillside often want more.
Do you walk on the roof or the panels?
We avoid it wherever possible. Water-fed poles reach most residential arrays from the roof edge or the ground, which protects both the panels and our crew.
Could cleaning damage the panels?
Not with the right method. We use soft brushes and purified water rather than harsh chemicals or high pressure, and we assess access and panel condition before starting.
What if you find something wrong up there?
