Common questions

Before You Book.

What areas does Lavare serve?

Lavare works across Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, with dedicated coverage in Santa Barbara, Montecito, Ojai and Ventura. That includes the Riviera, the Mesa, Mission Canyon, Hope Ranch, Summerland and Carpinteria. If you are near the coast between Gaviota and Ventura, you are almost certainly in range.

How much does window cleaning cost in Santa Barbara?

Most single-family Santa Barbara homes fall between $175 and $425 for exterior window cleaning, covering glass, sills and frames. Montecito properties typically run $225 to $550, Ojai $175 to $425, and Ventura $165 to $400. Every quote is free and given in person after we have looked at the property.

Why does Lavare use deionized water?

Because the water here is very hard. Santa Barbara groundwater runs 18 to 45 grains per gallon and the Ojai Water System measures 391 ppm, against a US Geological Survey threshold of 10.5 grains for very hard water. Hard water dries and leaves its minerals on the glass as spots. Deionized water has those minerals stripped out first, so it dries clear.

How often should windows be cleaned in Santa Barbara?

Twice a year suits most homes. Properties with direct ocean exposure, on the Mesa or close to the water in Ventura, often want three or four visits a year because salt film rebuilds faster than hillside dust. Inland Ojai properties can usually go longer between visits.

Is Lavare licensed and insured?

Yes. Lavare carries $1 million in general liability coverage, so every job on your property is protected. We are locally owned and operated, founded by UC Santa Barbara students and run today by UCSB alumni.

Do you clean windows on second and third-story homes?

Yes. Water-fed poles reach most multi-story residential windows from the ground, which is safer for the crew and means no ladders leaning against your siding or landscaping. Where a job genuinely needs different equipment, we come back with it rather than improvising.

What services does Lavare offer besides window cleaning?

Solar panel cleaning, gutter cleaning, pressure washing and soft washing, deck restoration, high dusting and dewebbing, skylight cleaning, and full-service holiday lighting. Most homes book more than one on the same visit, and the quote covers everything you choose.
